A post from my favorite place in the city, also known as the highline. I prefer to call it "my own blissful world". I almost forget I'm on an old railroad in the middle of the concrete jungle. When ever I need to escape my chaotic days, this is definitely a place to find me.
This place of bliss never fails to inspire me. Words from a wise artist on the highline "don't be ashamed to be a tourist in your own city"....

Lately I've been obsessed with trees, and as my hair grows back in the most akward way possible, this vintage hat of mine has almost become uniform for me.

Thoughts

Although some felt as though Jean Paul Gaultier's fashion show paying an homage to lovely Amy Winehouse was distasteful, I feel that this couldn't have complimented her iconic style any better as a talented one of a kind artist. Definitely a controversial topic,... Although this isn't his most recent show I felt this great need to explain.

For a fashion designer, a couture fashion show during Paris fashion week is the greatest honor/ gift anyone can give/ receive . For those who don't quite understand just imagine the feeling of drowning and then right when you think you're going to lose your last bit of air, you find your way out back into the world of oxygen.... that relief of being able to breath again..... all that air rushing into your lungs is what fashion is for a designer... This is the only possible way I can explain it, haha a bit dramatic but I hope this helps you lovely readers understand. Please comment if you agree!!

Halloween and a Wedding

This particular halloween has been far from the usual dressing in costume and begging for candy. This year Halloween served as a ~~scary~~ romantic day... yes I said romantic, as I spent my entire evening celebrating love! Today on Halloween my amazing sister finally tied the knot with her best friend, also known as lovely blogger/ jewelry designer Vintage Trinket. I am so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life and couldn't have been more excited to be apart of theirs.

I'm so glad I had the honor of spending this special day with these two very important people in my life. So hold up your pumpkin flavored beers and glasses on this spooky yet special day, and lets toast to my role models on their beautiful day!!
